Definitions
The following expressions have the following meanings:
''Stylist'' refers to Emma Poppy and any member of her team.
''Client'' refers to the person or persons responsible for making the booking (usually the bride) and members of their party.
Clients Responsibility
Skin allergies - It is the clients’ responsibility to inform the stylist of any known allergies or skin sensitivities that they or their bridal party may have and / or may be affected by the use of the stylists tools or products, and if so a consultation is highly recommended.
The stylist will not be held responsible for any reactions that may occur if any skin conditions were not stated before the application of make-up.
PhotographyIt is imperative that the stylist continues to update their portfolio for future prospective brides. Please let the stylist know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed or if you are not happy for the stylist to use your images for marketing purposes, websites and social media pages.
Liability
Emma Poppy is not liable for any suppliers that are recommended.
All stylists are covered by Public Liability insurance; Emma Poppy is covered by Professional Beauty Direct.
Booking Fee
A booking fee is required upon entering this agreement. The booking fee is to secure the date for the delivery of the services for the event and the administration cost required to deliver the services.
Booking confirmations will only be sent once the contract is signed and the booking fee has been paid for in full. Once booking confirmation has been issued your date is secure.
After the booking fee has been paid, confirmed numbers may be increased at the stylists discretion (pending timings). If the numbers are reduced the confirmed total may still be charged.
All booking fees are automatically deducted from the final balance, which is due no later than 6 weeks before the wedding day. Accepted methods of payment: BACS transfer.
After the trial has taken place the client has 7 days to cancel the booking and obtain a full refund of the booking fee, this must be confirmed in writing via e-mail.
Beyond the 7 day period after the trial the booking fee is non-refundable.
If the Client seeks to cancel the booking beyond the 7 day period after the trial, the booking fee and trial fee shall be forfeited, any expenses incurred as at the date of cancellation must be paid by the Client, and those paid shall also be non-refundable. No further sums will be due from the Client to the Stylist.
For bookings made within less than 6 weeks prior to the wedding date without a trial; the final balance will be due immediately upon booking to confirm and secure your wedding date.
If the Client seeks to cancel the booking the final balance will be forfeited, any expenses incurred as at the date of cancellation must be paid by the Client, and those paid shall also be non-refundable. No further sums will be due from the Client to the Stylist.
Payment of the booking fee confirms that you agree to the full terms and conditions for the services provided by Emma Poppy and her team of Stylists.
Trial
Trial payments must be paid once your trial date is booked in via bank transfer. The payment of the trial is non-refundable and due on receipt of receiving the invoice.
Trials take place at my studio in CM2.
If an on location trial is required an additional fee of £70 will apply to the trial cost, plus travel costs depending on the location.
Unfortunately trials cannot take place at weekends and on Fridays due to high demand for weddings on these days. Appointments for trials are available Tuesday to Thursday (excluding bank holidays).
Please note that if you would like a second trial you will be required to pay the full trial amount again.
Payment
All payment is required by BACS.
Cheque and Pay-pal payments are not accepted.
When Emma Poppy is booked as the main stylist final balance payments are due by bank transfer no later than 6 weeks prior to the wedding date to Emma Poppy.
When a team member is booked as the main stylist, final balance payments are due by bank transfer no later than 6 weeks prior to the wedding date to the booked Stylist.
For bookings made within less than 6 weeks prior to the wedding date; the final balance will be due immediately upon booking to confirm and secure your wedding date.
Failure to pay the fee within the stated time may result in the wedding date being released by the Stylist.
The price agreed at the time of confirming the booking is final. If Emma Poppy’s price list changes at all, your booking will not be affected.
It is the responsibility of the named person (usually the bride) on the booking form to read and accept responsibility for all booking conditions and payments due.
Minimum Spend
When Emma Poppy is booked as the main stylist for bookings during peak season and at weekends, a surcharge will apply until the minimum spend of £640 is reached; unless stated otherwise by Emma Poppy.
Surcharges
For larger parties or early ceremony times additional stylists may be required, which incurs an additional cost starting from £100 per stylist. This is to ensure that everyone is complete in plenty of time and to the highest standard.
Surcharges may also apply if stylists are required to work before 6:00am.
Congestion charges and parking fees (where applicable) may be invoiced after the wedding if cost is not known at time of booking.
If preparation is split between two locations, a pack down/re-set up fee of £35 will be charged, plus any additional travel fees.
If a trial is required on a weekend or Bank Holiday there is a £50 surcharge.

Travel Charges
Depending on your location travel expenses and congestion charges may be applied at cost and added to the final balance.
Travel is charged at 45p per mile and the same for the return journey.
Changes
Notification should be given of any changes to the booking and trial as soon as possible. This includes changes to the number of clients, location, dates and times. It is the client’s responsibility to do this, as Emma Poppy cannot guarantee availability for herself and her stylists all day.
Changes must be confirmed in writing via e-mail or in person and are not accepted as written notice until you have received a reply. Please do not rely on texts as they are not always received.
Any changes made by the bride to a trial must be made in writing 72 hours before the date of the trial. If changes result in the number attending being reduced, Emma Poppy has the right to change the time or date of the trial and any previous booking discounts or travel discounts may be void.
Please note that if a wedding booking is changed which results in the number of clients dropping below the confirmed numbers, the original confirmed total is still chargeable.
If part of a booking is changed less than 6 weeks prior to the wedding date, the confirmed balance will still be required in full.
Please ensure that your bridesmaids and any other client requiring make-up / hair services are 100% confirmed in order to avoid any disappointment.
Please note: Any discounts will only apply at the time of booking and will not be applied to any changes made after this time.
Please inform Emma Poppy of any changes in order to confirm new costs.
Cancellation
Cancellation of the booking by the client -
If the Client seeks to cancel the booking 14 days after entering this agreement but more than 42 days before the Event then the booking fee (and styling trial fee, if applicable) shall be forfeited, any expenses incurred as at the date of cancellation must be paid by the Client, and those paid shall also be non-refundable. No further sums will be due from the Client to the Stylist.
Should you need to cancel any appointment please contact Emma Poppy as soon as possible.
The client can reschedule a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 72 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate.
If for any reason the client wishes to cancel the wedding booking, it must be done in writing no less than 6 weeks before the wedding. If notice is given after this time, the full outstanding amount is still payable.
Should any objections to any outstanding payment occur upon cancelling, Emma Poppy will proceed with legal action to recover any loss in payment.
Cancellation of the booking by Emma Poppy -
In the unlikely event that Emma Poppy or her team are unable to attend, she will endeavour to find another professional stylist of equal standard.
Where no other suitable alternative can be offered, a full refund will be given to the client. No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstance beyond the control of the stylist -
Where possible the stylist will endeavour to rectify such situations however no compensation will be offered on the stylists part.
Any expenses incurred as at the date of cancellation must be paid by the Client, and those paid shall also be non-refundable. No further sums will be due from the Client to the Stylist.
It is strongly advised that you take out wedding insurance to cover you against these situations.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, where the Met Office have issued a 'Red' warning, Emma Poppy has the right to cancel without refund. Taking out wedding insurance is strongly advised if this is a concern.
Time Delays
The Stylist will not be held responsible for any delays caused by events beyond their control.
No refund or compensation will be given in the event of delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party. If you suspect any member of the bridal party may pose as a challenge in any way, they are encouraged to have a trial to avoid potential delays on the day.
Please ensure that every member of your party is aware of timings on the day and that they stay available. Prior to having makeup applied or hair styled please ensure that you and your party avoid leaving the chair whilst the stylists are working.
On a wedding day, time is of the essence. Please ensure that hair is clean, completely dry, and free from product. Washing hair the night before, avoiding heavy conditioners and not straightening is advised (unless stated otherwise).
Please do not sit children / babies on your lap whilst having your hair styled or make-up applied. For their own safety please ensure that children are kept away from our styling tools and products at all times. Styling irons are extremely hot and hazardous. Stylists will not be held responsible if a child is injured as a result of the parent or carer not being present.
